Who I Am
Closet Adventures originated many years ago. I was at Grand Canyon University earning my Bachelor’s in elementary education. In one class, the semester project was something we could choose for ourselves. I decided to write a children’s book. The instructor liked it so much he asked to read it to the class. I was honored. The book I wrote back then is very different from what is now Closet Adventures, but it was a start.
Between then and now, I became a teacher at an Arizona charter school where I have taught for over thirty years. In addition, I earned a Master’s degree in elementary reading and literacy.
When I’m not teaching or writing, I love spending time with my husband David and adult son Michael. I enjoy reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and delving into Rock n Roll history. David and I fly around in our four-seat Beechcraft. Payson, Arizona and San Diego, California are two of our favorite destinations.
